Electrical work in Pershore
A Georgian town with rural wiring around it
Pershore's High Street is Georgian and a good deal of it is listed or in a conservation area, which changes how electrical work gets done rather than whether it can be. Surface conduit and chased channels are both harder to justify in a building with original plaster and panelling, so cable routes get planned around the fabric: under floors, through existing voids, and along runs that already exist. It takes longer and it is worth doing properly, and where consent is involved we will tell you that before the quote rather than after the work.
Move out of the town and the picture changes entirely. Out at Wyre Piddle, Pinvin, Fladbury and the properties between them, a good number of houses are on an earth electrode of their own rather than an earth supplied with the electricity. That is a TT arrangement, it is completely normal in rural Worcestershire, and it makes RCD protection load-bearing rather than a nicety: on that kind of installation the RCD is the primary protection and its condition matters far more than it does in town. It is also the reason an EV charger out here is a different installation from the same charger in Droitwich.
Rewires, boards and testing in Pershore
Rural properties are where the most interesting EICR results come from, usually the earth electrode resistance and the RCD trip times rather than the wiring. Board upgrades on a TT installation are worth doing with RCBOs rather than a split load, because on that arrangement one shared device taking out half a rural property in the dark is a bigger problem than it is in a town.
EV charging and outdoor work in Pershore
Charge points here start with the earthing, because a TT property and a PME property need different answers. Larger plots also mean supplies to outbuildings and lighting along drives and paths that town properties never need.
Commercial and agricultural work in Pershore
Shops along the High Street want periodic inspection planned around trading. Growing and farm units nearer the river want three-phase work, and the environment usually shortens the inspection interval.

Older cottages and the Pershore supply question
A good deal of Pershore's older housing is brick and timber cottage stock, and in those properties the wiring has usually been added to in layers rather than replaced in one go. It is common to find a modern board at the front of an installation that is still feeding rubber or early PVC cable further back, which is the situation an EICR is genuinely useful for: the board looks fine and the circuits behind it are not. The other Pershore question is the supply itself. Properties on the edge of the town and out towards the villages are more likely to be on an overhead service with a 60A main fuse, and that figure decides whether an EV charger needs load management before anything else is discussed.
